It's been awhile since I drew Regal in a non comic-related atmosphere
So I threw him in his natural environment: his desert

Regalis is from a race of Ancients called The Slayers, a proud people who live in the desert. They have a very tribal and ritualistic religion centered around a prime deity they call the Bringer. Another big piece of their religion involves a spirit called The Great Sister. They believe she is the spirit of the desert and begs to the Bringer on their behalf for rain and direction. She is believed to appear to their leaders in visions as a blue horse-like creature with a scorpion tail. She stands for wisdom, direction, and to an extent she also stands for spiritual pride or pride in one's own beliefs and soul.

Legend says that while Regalis was on his walkabout, a blue scorpion-tailed horse came to him and led him through the desert. It led him to a creature called a Cold One - a sworn enemy of the Slayer race because of its tendancies to drink the blood of its victims. The creature was about to attack a wealthy caravan passing through the desert, and with the horse's help Regalis was able to kill the beast before it could cause any harm. It was because of this that Regalis was knighted as an official slayer and shortly afterwards crowned as a King over the semi-nomadic desert race.
He holds the record for being the youngest Slayer to take the thrown at age 17.
